Herd of African Beasties Photos
« on: July 18, 2011, 05:26:58 PM »
I've posted an album of photos I took yesterday - I was testing out my wild west table arrangement but I also put that part of my African animals I have painted (bases aren't done so I did some minor retouching to tone down the bases).  Photos can be seen at this link in the photos session in the Beasts and Wild West album.

I know, I know - post a picture here.  Would if I were up to speed on the process.

Enjoy.

The problem is you can't view the photos if you are not a member. ::)

And some of us looking from work in our lunch hour are unable to see the other site as the firewall blocks it :(

Photos of my recent efforts are at www.littleleadmen.com and https://beaverlickfalls.blogspot.com

Yeah, someone pointed that at the Old West section and I tried to find a way around that but don't see it - yet.  Also, tried a direct copy and paste of a photo and that didn't work either.  Got to find a way...

Just posted a link to your Old West thread as to how to upload photos to LAF.

After the beasties are some photos of a table set-up "dry run" for the wild west.

Hope you enjoy.

That is a LOT of beasts!!!
 :o

How do you use 'em (games wise)?
Are those 15 or 28mm?

Cheers!
A.

A,

First the easy answer - they are 15 mm (or as close as I could get with non-hobby sources or allied like HAT plastic Jungle set for some animals).

Now, how do I use them?  Well, I've only recently finished them so they haven't been in a game yet but how I intend to use them is as a visual improvement but also as a "hazard" for armed forces or "civilians" - I like my games to be "in the world" rather than isolated battles.  They will also be the focus of a couple of other games - a hunting safari game for a more mature audience or as "targets" of a photo safari game for a more youthful audience, mom friendly games if you will.

And then there's this, I just get a kick out of having them - even if it means I'm put down as one of the hobbies eccentrics.  Hope that answers your question to your satisfaction.

G.
