Pulp Warehouse
« on: July 29, 2011, 12:59:54 AM »
This warehouse was originally a toy for a child between 3 and 6 years of age.  I think it was blue and red and had a handle on top.  The original toy was supposed to be a covered bridge.  When I saw it, I immediately thought it had potential as a warehouse.  It cost me $1.00.  I cut off the roof handle, filled in the open ends of the bridge with sheet plastic, adding a scratch-built door to one end.  I also added a sign using sheet plastic on the side.  The name Transocean Shipping is a homemade decal.  Once the repair work was done, I gave it a new paint job.  I've included an unpainted Copplestone 28mm figure for scale.

Thank you for your kind words.  This forum is the home of some extremely talented people, and your generous comments about the warehouse and other things I've posted are greatly appreciated.  Now it's Saturday morning here in southern Cal and I'm off to the swap meet.  Cheers.  Richard

Hey 15MM,

Great job on those toy conversions! The lighthouse, the warehouse, the cemetary, you're a frickin' machine! Can't wait to see what you find next. I work in a toystore at the moment and I see stuff that's full of possibility everyday. For instance, did you know that Playmobil sends the best demos ever when you sell their merchandise? We get boxes full of stuff that can be converted to 28mm gaming, and best of all, we THROW THEM OUT every 3 months or so...October, here I come!

(On a somewhat related note, here's a musical treat from the '90s. Enjoy.)

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden
