Heresy sci-fi trooper: no.2
« on: 31 July 2011, 12:10:08 AM »
Inspired by Duff's recent effort I just had to have a go....lovely minis. I've added cargo pockets to help break the camo pattern around the legs and tried to make the helmet appear as if it has a cover. needs more work on the visor and body armour and, of course, a base

Sweet! These figures are looking better to me all the time. I love your color scheme. It works much better for me than the one on the Heresy website.

That's a real good looking mini. I really like the visor. The helmet does look like it has a cover. I would like to be able to paint sharp squares like that to replicate "digital" camo. Oh well... I don't know who makes the vehicle, but it sure compliments your little guy. How do you plan to use 'em?

Yours truly

Thanks Guys! Mark – Visor is black undercoat; orange/brown base highlighted over several incrementally lighter mixes with yellow ochre until virtually orange tinted yellow ochre. highlighting is at the centre of the visor concentrating on where the eyes and nose would be. Sepia wash is added to the edges and the lower half then dk. umber wash is added to the edges. Finally the whole visor is given several, diluted coats of clear orange.  All paints Vallejo
