Medieval Russian Army
« on: August 03, 2011, 01:30:41 PM »
Here are some pictures of my 1/72 Field of Glory Army…I painted the miniatures for a “Lake Peipus – Battle on the ice” presentation at the 2010 TACTICA.

There are some more pictures at my Blog (Sorry, German language only!):

Those are so nice, absolutely amazing!
Thats what I thought when I first saw them.
Then I saw the scale!!!
Genius!!!
Beautiful scenery/background and photography. Like stills from a high-budget film.
Must seek out more of your work.

Jeepers - those are excellent.

Any chance of a run-down of the manufacturers of the figures?

Holy crapaholy, 1/72nd!  Those are gorgeous.  I'm not sure if it's due to the figures or the photography, but they have a flats look to them.

Brilliant!  I've just been getting into this period, and these pictures are incredibly inspiring! The figures look like Zvezda to me (at least some of them)--although they are so magnificently painted I hardly recognize them!  Is the fort from the blog a scratch build?  Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic!

I wanted to some do eastern crusades with Teutonic and Russian knights from Zvezda (I have tons of 1/72 plastics of all kinds - my first love when it comes to minis) some years ago, but then I fell into this forum and got carried away with 28 mm projects...

You should send some of these pics to HäT, too to show on their 'Everything Toy Soldiers' pages, if you haven't already.

A period I am really interested in and absolutely amazing figures. I don't game in 20mm but anybody who thinks 20mm plastics are only toys should be made to look at your stuff and eat their words!
