Actually, you don't have to.
I'm more than willing to play any ruleset with this army (if it ever gets finished ). It's simply down to your opponent, and I myself would never bother with rule lawyers.

Didn't have the courage to base my own arab and crusader armies like this, went for 6x6cms which will allow me 1/2 sized Impetus bases as I've been happily painting to date with no real commitment to a specific rule set yet

Sure, if it ever grows to full army-size. By now and according to the list I'm using there are still 4 bases to be added. Unfortunately, these are all big units in dense formation, so I have to purchase (and paint, of course!) quite a few models beforehand. Therefore, please don't hold your breath for an 'army shot' to appear.
