Point value for Balrog
« on: August 03, 2011, 04:48:43 PM »
Hi, does anybody know the point value of this beast "Balrog of Morgoroth"? The stats are mentionned on the GW website but the point value isn't. And also what does extremely hard to kill as special rules means?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I knew buying the Khazad-Dum sourcebook would come in hand one day.

Balrog Point value: 400

Can't tell you what the other bit means though, doesn't say in the sourcebook. Might just be a marketing attempt?

The stats you mention are for the newer War of the ring book, which is a mass combat game rather  then a skirmish game, but then that rulebook has the sats and point cost in it, so I guess thats not what your asking for.

It are the stats for the skirmish game I need as I'm still looking for a cheap rulebook.

The points value I gave are for the Skirmish game. I never played the larger battle game they brought out. I only played the Skirmish.

Just tell your opponent 250 in a matter of fact manner, and roll your eyes and huff like they are a noob if they ask you where you got that from.

This is a standard strategy for GW players I have watched at CANCON.

lol Nope I don't really know many GW players, I'm playing against my mate! So no cheating only honest dice rolling happening here  ;)

I have the copy of the rules that came out with two towers, and it lists it as 250, but this was changed (quite rightly, given how hard it is) to 400 in the later version of the rules (Bit of a diference if you ask me).
