Nuts
« on: August 07, 2011, 04:46:20 PM »
I have been looking at getting these rules because of thier solo play possibilities for my 20mm WW2 collection. On further thought I was wondering if they caould be used for the Great War too, probably western front.  Has anyone used them for WW1?

I've just started playing Nuts too and was wondering the same question. I haven't seen anything yet but haven't dug to deeply.

Essentially what would change is the equipment. The mechanics are quite good and can be used for many settings, you would limit the availability of tanks - possibly make them less reliable? - and other advanced gear would need to be taken out (someone else would have to advise here, I'm no expert).

If the system is flexible enough to handel it it would just be a case of researching the equipment used in WW1, and has been said reduce or take out compleatly tanks. I think Im going to buy them!!

I'm a huge fan and practitioner of NUTS, especially for WWII and Pulp.  I'm sure it would work for WWI.  I would also recommend Through the Mud & the Blood by Too Fat Lardies.  http://toofatlardies.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16&zenid=3bed902ccec7d195d46da73d346f0faf
