Soviet Ghoul!

My Soviet Ghoul (manufacturer unknown, the PPSh-41 is scratched). The outcome of many sinister experiments unknown, this Soviet Ghoul has lost all of his humanity. The only thing he has left is his dedication to The Motherland! Invaders beware! The PPSh-41 sub-mahcine gun is strictly a bludgeoning weapon to this guy :)

Fantastic Paint Job!

He'd make a great Russian peasant ghoul for an Amazing War Stories game as well!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the positive feedback on this guys, greatly appreciated :D

Operator5: These were indeed inspired by those Russian Peasant ghouls! Brigade games rocks!

Prof: As to the manufacturer, I fear I will never find out   I picked these figures up in 1996 from my local hobby store for my GW undead army at the time. They were pretty cheap relative to the GW ones and the store only had three. They were from an unfamiliar brand to me at the time and when I asked the store to bring more in they said that their supplier didn't carry them anymore...  Since I didn't keep the packaging there is no way I can find out about these figs :(

The miniature is from Harlequin (back then it was also the prefered similar-to-GW-but-cheaper manufacturer of me and my friends), now available from black-tree-design.com.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Awesome! Thanks for the info on Harlequin miniautres. Here is a link to the picture:

Ghoul Tomb Raiders! I have left the one with the hammer unchanged, but I have replaced the meat cleaver on the one with the hand up with a sickle! I will post pics as they are completed.

Finished the three ghouls. What is more symbolic of the soviet union during WWII than the hammer, sickle, and the PPSh-41?

Just awesome!!! Thumbs up  :D

BTD could make lots of money with all their minis if they'd make some good pics of the figs....

whats "lots" of money depends on your point of view. Harlequin had really nice posters, catalogs, box covers and everything but ran into bankruptcy.
At least you can recognize something... there are some shops where you can hardly see anything, I wonder why they have a website at all.
