« on: 14 August 2011, 06:17:51 PM »
I have been playtesting my rules with a senario from the Too Fat Lardies stable. Here are some photos.

Great photos, I especially like the stretcher-bearers and the figure with the wounded guy over his shoulder - who makes those?

Also, which TooFatLardies ruleset and which scenario? I'm considering Mud & Blood for RCW/BoB skirmish myself.

Im glad you like the photos thanks. The Figures with stretcher and helping with sling are Wargames foundry, the figure carrying his pal is Scarab miniatures.
Too Fat Lardies do a rule set called "Triumph of the Will" which are for RCW/SCW at brigade level. I am not to keen on them my self, but I do like their rule set called "If The Lord Spares Us" which is for WW1 Palastine/Africa, once again at brigade level. I like the way this set works better, I just convert the troop types to the Russian Civil War. If you go over to http://pygmy-wars.50megs.com/scenarios/scenariopages.html
the senario is Guards at poltava.

TFL's "Triumph of the Will" is very early Lard and shows it. There is a supplement for Mud & Blood called "Triumphant Standards" which includes stats usable for RCW.

Thanks for the nice comments. I think I have come to the end of my Russian Civil War collection and thats what prompted me to post the pictures. I have more than enough figures for games and on different fronts.
Thing is what shall I work on painting and collecting now?

Did the Artizan Cossak chap with the two pistols (you painted him with a green tunic) come with a miscast right hand and lugar? I got one yesterday, and it was miscast like that. Just wondering if its a general problem.

I didnt know it was a miss cast! I thought it was an extended cartrage thingy and the barrell had come off the gun.  Shows what I know about guns. I Got the figure for a pulp campaign I was planning and I gave him a command in the game.

Its still a nice fig even if there is a (possible) problem with the mold. I sent Artizan/North Star an email on the matter over a week ago but got no reply :( I'll just have to effect repairs myself.

Just so you know, I'll be totaly stealing your colour scheme for this guy. Very cool!

RS,
I like the Cossack figure with the two pistols.  The broomhandle is a fun shoot, but I couldn't hit a barn from the inside with it.
