D&D Wrath of Ashardalon game session (4th and 5th scenario)
« on: 21 August 2011, 11:48:40 AM »
Played two scenarios yesterday with two friends who came over. We tried out the 4th and 5th scenario, got our assess kicked but we had a great time. The second scenario played gave us some epic moments.

I took a bunch of pictures and wrote a short summary of each game on my blog:

Look like a very fun game 8)

BTW, do you know where they have the best prices for this game?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

My wife and I have the Ravenloft one.  We tried it once, and weren't too impressed.  Probably ought to try it again.

mcweaver, I've heard that they improved the game design and added some things in Ashardalon, and they seem to improve and add new things in the upcoming Legends of Drizzt. Though I have only played WoA so I can't speak for CR.

Calimero, I don't know , I bought mine in a Swedish brick&mortar store for 500SEK which is 77USD. You can probably find it cheaper if you look. Though 500SEK is the standard price for most boardgames here in Sweden. The difference is that you get a load of components in this game which increases the value for money factor by a few notches. It seem to include as much stuff as Descent, but it was 300SEK cheaper.

I bought this a few months ago, tried playing it solo witht he first quest, got killed pretty much straight away, never really went back to it, though have been using the parts for HeroQuest as its worth the money just for the stuff included.
