British Indian Bedroll Color for East Africa?

Hi All,

   I am working on my British forces and do not have a reference for the bedroll color for Indian troops.  From the Osprey book it shows KAR, SA, and British troops with dark blue bedrolls. Is it safe to assume Indian troops would have the same?

Pretty much all my references show a dark shade of khaki (same colour as the cold weather serge uniforms), often with another roll of a different colour wrapped inside it. I don't have any colour pics specific to East Africa, though.

What's pictured there is not a bedroll rather it is a greatcoat carrier.  They were expected to make due with their greatcoat and canvas groundsheet. The blue item tucked in there may represent a spare grey-back shirt.  I would just paint the roll dark khaki with tan web straps.  Here are specifics of that piece of gear:
