Very nice, and the imagi-nations stuff on the blog looks very interesting. Can we assume that the Principality of Huack is closely tied to the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha as that's very nearly the British Army's rank structure there (except the British just call a 'Brigadier General' a Brigadier, Major- and Lieutenant-General would be the other way round and there's no 'General' above them)? Or, like the Russian word for ralway station being 'вокзал' (Voksal), does it come from a hurried visit to London?

You might find that this gets moved to VSF though as Ruritania, Molvania and other fictional Central European nations tend to end up there.

Thanks for the heads up on listing as VSF.  I'll remember that!  I think I'm going to eliminate the LG and replace with a Colonel-General.  In the states a LGen out ranks a MGen.

It doesn't have to go in VSF Adventures if it has no science fiction elements. Imaginary colonial campaigns are fine here. But is it actually colonial in nature, or more a war between two minor powers? I can't really tell from this one post.

Anyway, If you'd prefer it went in VSF I can move it for you. Just say and it's done.

No Major General and Lieutenant General are the right way round, it was originally a Sergeant-Major General.  Incidentally, the British stopped calling Brigadiers a General to save the money they would have to pay for the status.  Cheapskates even in the 19th C.

I do intend for African operations, or an Afristan as a small side but the mean will be fighting between two minor states.
