The Green Death

Flies and maggots for a scenario based on the Pertwee era Who story. Maggots are made from Milliput using Ramshackle Curtis' recent suggestion on Frothers. Flies are converted from joke shop flies.

Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Fantastic!! Those flies are 100% perfect!! Love the maggots as well.

I always remember the DVD extra episode, filmed for the DVD of this story, where all the actors were interviewed as their characters. "You should have seen it. It was the size of a sock!!"

Really like the maggots. Think I might grab some milliput tomorrow and have a bash myself.  :D

Thanks all. Originally I was going to simply use the joke shop flies as they were, then I thought about extending the abdomen, making new wings etc and got carried away. Happy with the results, despite stabbing myself repeatedly with paperclips, bendy wire and drill bits!

Well I grabbed some Milliput today and was wondering how you put the maggots together. Did you roll it into small balls and push them together or did you make one long worm shape and sculpt the lines into it?
Thanks again for the idea.  :D

I considered the small ball approach but abandoned it as too time consuming, so yes I made the maggot shape, let it harden for ten minutes then sculpted the lines in. Once they were dry I redefined some of the lines if they were too faint.

I look forward to seeing them!
