Hammer, Bow, Axe and Sword! [PICS]
« on: September 23, 2011, 08:00:52 AM »
Hello all! For Drunkendwarf I painted these Fantasy Vikings. They are the Nordfolk from the Westwind Dwarf Wars range. Admittedly, there is no hammer among them ;) He will finish the bases himself as you may have guessed.

Enjoy!

Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

You did a nice job with them.  I think these pictures are the first time I have seen these particular figures painted, so thanks!

Thanks all! A lot of these models don't appear in picture on the Westwind site (the ones from the character packs I guess) so I sent them these pictures. Who knows, they might become famous! ;)

These look really nice...both painting and the figures...I may have to look into them for a Norse Warband for Skulldred.

Keep up the good work Pil!

You say there's no hammer among them, but I can see Hammer pants! Stop! It's Hammertime!

Excellent work. These guys look ready to torch some thatch roofed cottages. This here guy is my favourite:

Whoever is getting the Gang of Norse Ne'er Do Wells is getting a TREASURE for mere money. I hope he's neat with finishing the bases. As always...VERY WELL DONE!

why are they so thin around the waist. The last guy with MC Hammerpants and axe especially must be skinnier than Kate Moss . His biceps must be almost as big as his girth?

Isn't it obvious that he has a girdle, that isn't a wide belt?  :D

I guess all the proportions can be attributed to being a "Westwind thing". I think they are super muscular rather than skinny waisted, as the figures are rather large. Still, being fantasy Vikings, I like that about them 8)

£4 per mini is a nice price for a good level of painting. I may send some your way at some point - I also plan to delve into the Dark Age... maybe after Christmas....

Do you do plastics? I plan to get the Gripping Beast box (44 pcs), and it would be a tremendous relief to send, say 10 or 15 of them in commission, while I concentrate on a few characters....
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
