WOTR wagon
« on: 30 September 2011, 08:32:17 PM »
Coming soon from the Perrys:

'So do all who see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that we are given.'

Very nice.  I just hope that both oxen are not designed so that they can only be placed in the positions shown.  I really hate it when all your animals are in lock-step.  It looks particularly stupid on something like a six-horse stagecoach when all of the horses are identical or in only two poses.  I know it's more expensive to design individual figures but surely four different oxen (in this case) could be mixed and matched amongst other vehicles? Even the plastic multipose horses/wolves/etc suffer from this problem.  Two bodies will give you four different poses but 4 would give you 16! Add in multiple heads and you're really cooking!

I can cope with the oxen but, as Phil says, this is a gorgeous model.

You know we don't buy stuff because we'll use it, we buy because we want to use it!  lol

I can also see F&IW use for the oxen and cart so a definite buy for me.

I wonder if the Perrys will follow with more WotR civilians?

It is a fine looking model. Presumably it is a Burgundian one if the drover and oxen are all in step, Charles was a bit of a martinet where drill was concerned.  lol

That's really good... as is the supply wagon that seems to have snuck in unannounced. I'd guess an encampment is more likely to appear on table than a baggage train and people are less likely to baulk at getting just the wagon, than they are at buying the whole caboodle. Having said that a supply train ambush scenario justifies you buying the full set a few times.

Definite must haves!  :)
