Wonderful, splendid, spectacular, encore!

"It's not really a battle report, since the battle was so confusing, it's kinda hard to keep track of what the hell was going on!"

Well you can't get more Medieval battle than that.

Are most of the terrain features permanently affixed to the board? You and Frank are starting to make me think that's the way to go... you acheived a wonderful seamless look that takes the pics to the next level. I hesitate to use the term 'awesome' as it has become devalued, but these pics really are awesome in the truest sense!

Well thank you, fellas  :)
I would have taken a bit more care with the pics if I'd known they were going to attract so much appreciation  ;)
There were 75 figures in this game - about half my current Perry WOTR collection. I have a few more plastic combos to make and paint, plus about 20 metal foot figures still to finish. Once they finally bring out the mounted men-at-arms, I aim to complete the collection and round it out at approximately 200 figures.

Once that's done, I promise you some droolworthy big battle pics on a full size table (this one was only half sized).

Are most of the terrain features permanently affixed to the board?

Matt - yes. The hills, rivers, roads etc are sculpted into or onto the base boards. The trees insert into the foam with 'ground spikes'. The buildings and hedges etc are just placed on top.

To see the genesis of some of these boards and how they look, check out this thread...

African terrain boards...

And you may have seen this thread which shows the same boards used for a full scale English Civil War battle...

Hey Capt Blood, were can we get said copy of kill zone Medieval ???

Asid from that, Its great to finaly see these awsome WotR figuers finally being pushed around on the table. They are based on washers right?

Yeah - 25mm washers for the foot, 40mm washers for the cavalry.
If you pm me your email, I will send you a copy of the rules and the rapid reference sheet.
They're quite short! Will take a few days though, as I need to tidy the rules up a bit...  ;)

Cheers.

Richard

Excellent location shooting and a stellar cast, they should nominate you for a BAFTA  :-*
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

This looks more like a museum piece diorama than a skirmish game!

Why is there no emoticon for jealousy? I find it hard to believe that these are all in-game shots, not posed for the camera. Absolutely tip-top old bean.  8)  :-*

I'm really hoping to make next year's BLAM so I can finally pit my own retinues against yours. Although if the Dice Gods decide "that one's prettiest, he wins", I may not bother.  lol
