« on: October 26, 2011, 09:43:11 PM »
Heya

So, do their O scale buildings work, or is it only S scale that is okay? Greatful for any answers.

I might, on occasion, alter a door on an O structure. But I'm horrendously lazy, so weathering it is usually as far as I go...

Like miniatures, these buildings often vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer, and even within the same company.

But they are a cheap, light, easy to use asset!

Our idea as well. We are currently allready scratchbuilding Old West and Normandie buildings along with making a Warhammer table, so any ways to cut down on time is welcome, and hence the Plasticville route :)

I think the Plasticville O-scale stuff works great with 28mm.  Below are pics of 28mm minis, with Plasticville cottages, trailers and an apartment building.  All scale fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought their buildings where O/S : S-scaled buildings with O-scaled doors & windows.
their other range is HO.

Mainly their stuff is OK for 25/28mm, but the aircraft hangers are way too small.

And some of them lack depth, but for quick, easy and looking OK you can't pass them by.

I used Plasticville mobile homes and the Hobo Jungle set when I built Tophet Meadows.   I think they work great with 28mm.

Too true about the Plasticville hanger.  On the other hand if you are using Bee-Gees or small biplanes they will fit in the hanger.  Grimm painted and fixed one up that looked GREAT.

I've shown these before, but I think plasticville works well.  I even use them for the slightly larger Heroclix repaints in my collection.  Last shot is with some of the buildings being used by my son for Heroclixing.

I like Plasticville but a lot of it unfortunately looks very 1950s American and less suited for a European setting.
