My attempt at a harbour
« on: 28 October 2011, 01:12:15 PM »
I created an insert for my GW roads board, ignore the damaged streets, I may do something with these at some point but it's not urgent.

Scenery is a mix of PMC, Plasticville, Westwind, Warbases and Sarissa.

Very nice gaming board 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Thanks guys, it was cheap and cheerful and the idea partly nicked from Dave Bickley's Pulp gangster board.  The PMC steam launch doesn't look too bad next to the cargo ship.  I found a use for westwind's lights and the Ainsty checkpoint.  The factories stand in for warehouses and I have ordered Warbases engin shed for some variety.

Might get some mesh fencing to seal it off from the black marketeers...

Excellent - I can see many dirty deals being done on those docks at the dead of night!

It is nice and seedy Joroas. A few vehicles (maybe a couple abandoned with wheels on bricks?) and it is just the sort of area I would not linger when the daylight started to fade. Distinctly dodgy!

Ahhhhhhh, halcyon days growing up on London council estate in the 70's.

I was looking at it just to see what it looked like and was quite pleased.  I will put some figures/trucks on shortly and post.   :)

Sadly. my ships' crews were AWOL as a result of lack of paint.  :D

Looks great, when can we play?  I like the pj on the Minimi Steamer a bit different than most.

Yes, very impressive. I'm messing about with something similar and its always good to see how others have tackled the same ideas. Well done!
