Sarissa conversion
« on: November 06, 2011, 07:46:15 PM »
Hi there,

a couple of years ago I started building some old west buildings. The process however was pretty slow (to put it mildly). After some time I actually gave it up, and started to build some reinforced White Wash cardboard buildings instead. The process was then fairly quick, but even though the buildings are great (for cardboard buildings), something was still not good enough for me.
Then recently I discovered Sarissa Precission old west buildings. The heriocs were too big for my figures, but the original scale is just fine. I saw som of Michi's work, and stole a couple of his ideas (sorry, Michi), and below are the results.
The buildings offer me a great kickstart in making buildings with realistic windows, wood-structure, and lift-off roofs. I have cut out the door, and replaced it with a functional one. Hope you guys like it. Thanks to Steve from Sarissa for making those buildings. Keep up the good work, Steve...... I have a lot of other buildings on my wish-list.

Great building, and I got to admit, it was not until I saw this one, and that is after seeing Michas buildings, that I would even consider Sarissa houses. I really dont like them at all, but you have managed to make this one look as good as a scratchbuilt one.

Nice looking building.
Looks like it would fit in with a number of other company's buildings.
