A quick game report - zombies
« on: November 13, 2011, 06:54:50 PM »
Quick game with the kids today.

6 Survivors, heading across some arid land, on the edge of a settlement in New Mexico.

They sight a Humvee, on the edge of town, but there are zombies in the way.

The group advance, confident that they have enough firepower to deal with the threat (2 SMG, 1 shotgun, a couple of pistols, a chainsaw, and an axe).  Unfortunately a couple of the nearest undead, turn out to be of the fast variety, and surprise one of the bikers, quickly overpowering him.

The rest of the group form a protective circle around a small mound, and start to shoot the zombies.

Spotting a gap in the approaching zombies, they decide to make a break for it, but one of the women is caught, and badly injured, in the process.

The SWAT officer calmly despatched a pair of undead, with his MP5, and the group continued their escape towards the seeming safety of a nearby building, climbing the outlying wall, to circumvent the shambling horde.

One of the group manages to climb into the drivers seat - no keys!  The second of the group, a lady wielding a chainsaw starts to climb in the rear passenger seat, only to find an undead soldier, who luckily has the keys.  She manages to behad him, before being killed by a leaping fast zed.

Events were now beginning to get really hairy - the second biker was torn to pieces, and the injured lady was wounded twice more (fortunately without becoming infected - a 50% roll each time).  The SWAT officer survived several close calls, and clambered into the humvee, while the axewielding survivor grabbed the car keys, started the engine, and ran over several approaching zombies.

The remaining 3 survivors looked to have escaped, but then a huge "tank" zombie grabbed the rear of the humvee.

With other undead closing in, the SWAT officer opened the top hatch, and emptied his clip
into the giant undead, forcing it back, away from the vehicle.  In the last round, the humvee managed to speed off, leaving the remaining undead, in its wake.

50% Death rate for the survivors (I must be slipping), although they'd lost most of their weaponry, and now had a badly injured woman to look after.

Overall, the game took an hour to play.  Rules used, were of course, Total AR:SE - downloadable for FREE from the linky below:

I know, but my kids don't, and I wanted a plot device.
