Re: Survivors WIP- NEWS!
« Reply #123 on: 14 October 2012, 01:17:05 PM »
Hi again!

I painted some of my minis this sommer: we made a sort of Laf painters League in our spanish forum and I presented my survivors one time :) (And then I won the round  :D)

I made the zombie above for the league. In a future she should be available ;)

Then, a month later, I repainted a bit the "older" survivors:

There is more good news: The mould of the thinnest one (not in the photos) is working well, I made all the weapons and all the things that I had to finish AND I made a new survivor (I retouched the hand that holds the weapon after the photo :)):

I´m very proud of this one: it looks really good when casted, I was surprised  lol

The hands with pistols are made aswell :)

And now the news about casting, selling and such  ;) : I´m emigrating out of my country next week so I had to think a lot about what I´m going to do with the minis, the moulds etc (and with my life  lol). Right now I´m having problems with making really perfect castings (always the little f***ing bubbles in the worst places!) so I didn´t fell myself confident about selling them without an "afterwork" with putty and of course about selling them in "bigger" scale ;D So I spent a lot of time working on each casting and had the feeling that the minis should be very expensive to compense it  lol Besides I cannot travel with resin and silicon so I thought I should simplify the whole thing...

Now I have spoken with a friend who could make perfect castings for me so I can concentrate in making new minis. That sounds good and if it works I´ll be finally selling the minis AND with a very good quallity :)

Good news finally, right?  :) And thanks for your support, guys! :)

Let me know when I can order them...

Can I order them yet?

How about now?

Now?

Are they ready yet?

I find it very pleasing to hear that this project of yours is actually moving forward. These curvy survivors are great! :D

I just want to chime in on this thread. Watching the process as you developed the models was informative and inspiring. Whenever these become available, I'll definitely be looking for them.

Also, I want to wish you good luck on your emigration. Let us know where you end up - there's probably a LAF'er or two nearby!

Thanks!

Jany interest in selling 'failed' castings?  ;D

The problem is that I have no time for it: I´m emigrating the day after tomorrow (and I have still to prepare and pack my things  ;D), and I´m not taking the failed castings with me, only the originals and moulds  :? But I should be able to sell the good castings relatively soon  ;)
