221B Baker? That's the one that's about the level of Cluedo, right? Chrome-ing up the old board game is priceless. Gives the mystery solving aspect without full bore RPG.

I shall have to dig out my copy to see if others want to work something up similar.

Has anybody considered working with SH Consulting Detective? Might be TOO much meat in that one.

There is no ropewalk on the board, just wooden jetties & planked water edge

The board game hes been re-released for Xmas. I have a wargame bolt on, that adds to the board game rules - rather than just walking up & getting the clues, the players have all sorts of Homes style encounters to defeat on the way...

I think he means an actual ropewalk, as in a place where rope is made. It looks like you have one coming out from under the right hand arch in the photo that shows the waterfront.

Never heard that term either- the stuff in the arch(1/64th scale Britain/Ertl farm building) is a Hornby 'Scaledale' HO/OO stack of pipes

That is what I meant.  The right hand bay of the dock structure in the last photo looks like a rope walk, which is exactly what I would expect dockside. Here is an example

I try to put stuff in my games that people 'think' should be there and is  LR (Looks right) scale
The Sherlock game though billed as 25/28mm had bits that were 20mm/1/64/1/43/54mm/1/12th(Dolls House) & 1/1 ('cobblestone' wall paper from DIY store) & Pizza base tiles from ASDA!
