15mm APC from Poundland
« on: December 02, 2011, 12:04:49 PM »
As we all love a discount store bargain I need to mention that Poundland, in the UK, have a few diecast military vehicles in stock that are suitable for 15mm scifi.

I picked up two of these APCs yesterday for £1 each and repainted one last night. I may very well be getting more of these as the repainted one turned out quite nice.

There's also a little tank and a cross terrain car, but the tank is a little small and the other a bit too large for 15mm.

Here's the APC, with more pics at http://eclipsingbinaries15mm.blogspot.com/

I bought the car to go with my BEVO USMC, they are around 20mm.

Very nice .
It looks like the French VAB 6 wheel chassis.

Well done, could also be converted into an Ork battlefortress for Epic (6mm).

Reminds me of the old (4") GI Joe APC that could hold all the figures, and float.  A nice find and for dirt cheap too.  The scale is perfect and the design is universal enough to use for a lot of different factions.

Many thanks for this. For once I saw a post and got to the cheap shop while they were still in stock. Painted one in green at the weekend as a test piece. Wonder if I should have stripped the original paint off first but it is coming along nicely. I have removed the launcher thing on the top (it is held on by a small screw) and will eventually replace. My skirmish force for Tomorrow's War is off to a good (cheap) start!
