There was an announcement for a brand new batch of 1930s/1940s german Kriminalpolizei figures in 28mm. It was either on TMP or Tabletop Gaming News, not older than a week IIRC.

If you are looking for armed police for the various grüne polizei forces under Weimar or their Ordnungs polizei successors, then you might want to consider converting lightly equipped early war German infantry with WW1 Jäger helmeted heads. Not quite right but close as you are likely to get at present.

CP Models but unfortunately 20mm...

My favourite brownshirt is the WestWind Thug which comes open handed. Artizan also have some Gestapo types:

Otherwise I think Carlos idea is a good one. The problem might be to find miniatures without backpacks/equipment that the police normally wouldn´t use

That site doesn't seem to work for me, even if I go to http://www.blazeaway.com.au I get a homepage but none of the links work.

I found that if you do an internet search for the Blazeaway site, you can go to their site & bypass their "new" home page (with the broken links).

Chances are you are going to be disappointed if and when you do find that Blazeaway page. These are old Cannonfodder sculpts and they aren't pretty. In fact many of them are grotesque and even within packs the figure size varies enormously. Greg Blake did some reasonable Black and Tans and US sailors but these are really quite awful.

The nearest I've seen are the Renegade early war German Jager which do not have backpacks

Another possibility is Franco Prussian War jaegers - again provided they aren't wearing backpacks.  The advantage of FP War over Early WWI is that the FP War jaegers will have the eagle on their shako sculpted in (the WW I shako probably has the cover on).  Believe Wargames Foundry still has them - the officer with revolver might work well.

Won't most FPW Jaegers have blanket rolls on their shoulders. I suppose you could just use the heads.

Carlos you're right about he blanket rolls for the Franco Prussian War jaegers.  But could say they are out from their barracks on an overnighter!
