Looking for German Police / SchuPo
« on: January 12, 2016, 06:13:22 PM »
I am looking for some miniatures that would suit interwar german fighting. In this case especially for police uniforms.

I was thinking about Mutton Chop world war 1 germans, but beside the belt, the backpacks are a problem. Converting the helmet would be possible.

Like a good fit, look only the four "In Her Majestys Name" Prussian Jäger. By Great War there are Jäger as well, but again the backpacks. In general it looks as if there wasn't that much choice? Does anybody know proper miniatures for that purpose?

West Wind has a pack of "East European Politzei" in their Vampire Wars range.  The kepis they wear are a bit plain for German police but they might work:

Foundry has some jagers in their Franco-Prussian line and one pack has a couple of officers that don't have backpacks:

Thanks for the hint, but those miniatures don't really match the aesthetic criteria.

Seems like waiting for either plastic world war one, as they are easier to convert or do some heavier conversion on the lead miniatures.

Whilst I can't help you with the figures, on my blog there are pics of some of the 20s/30s Polizei's weird and wonderful vehicles:

I'm also lucky enough to own an actual Polizei shako (though of the 1950s/60s rather than interwar):

Here are some sample pics of interwar Polizei vehicles from the above-mentioned blog:

Tsuba has a range of German/Bavarian Revolutionary figures, I don't know if they have plans for a police pack?

Arteis,

those images are great! The police in greatcoat gives an idea. Maybe convert these Brigade Germans in greatcoat with a shako?
