After my trip to Recon today (show
review and pics here) I had to go pick my daughter up from Bradford (been partying with Uni friends) so I took more ME time and went to the
Ray Harryhausen exhibition in the National Media Museum (as it is now called).
This collection has a changing section currently showing in two displays:
Note these are reproductions for display but still great to see:
First up is Kali:
Then Minaton:
And a poor shot of the Siren figurehead from Sinbad (just could not get a clear pic of her folks):
Details on the figures are very good:
Hung on the side are two drawings. One would not photo due to light reflections but this one of the Homunculus coming to life is just about OK:
One more figure is up in the animation gallery but I got side tracked in the Donovan Wylie series of pictures on outposts in Afghanistan and Ireland.
If you are in the area spend a few hours (food is great), drop a few pounds in the gift box (as entry is free) and even take in an IMAX film or two!
Worth a visit folks.
