Jonas' Russian VSF force
« on: December 08, 2011, 01:45:43 PM »
Instead of continueing my old thread I will make myself a new thread for my Russian VSF force.

To begin I have some pictures of new suff, which I haven't shown before and during Christmas I will try to take some better photos of my already painted stuff and add photos of newly painted stuff.

Russian infanteri. (Askari miniatures)

Dr Romanov, always ready to entertain forigners at the Russian court. (Black Army)

2nd unit of infantry.

A new picture of some models I painted at an earlier point.

Fine beginnings here!  Were you nearer, I would gladly send my Brits or Hinterlanders to meddle in your domestic affairs and maybe shoot each other.

You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

I have a good deal of Hinterland models painted up for this force too, but the last couple of models still need their bases and eyes painted in before I have a complete unit.

It takes me a bit longer to paint the Hinterland models then the Askari, I have chosen to "speed paint" the Askari miniatures, but coming from me that is still pretty slow, but I have spent less time on correcting small errors and they have no eyes for now, but I might touch up on them later.

Right now I just think the most important is to spent the most painting time on the best sculpted models and get the rest painted up and ready for gaming, I still have too many unfinished project of which I hope to finish a lot in 2012.

They look really rather cool. Ive never seen Russians in green uniforms with havlocks- is it your own design ? It looks great anyhow.

The Puppet is cool too. Really cool.

I just always pictured VSF Russians to be green, so I did them like this.

Not historical correct at all, but it turns out they had uniforms in these colours during the Napoleonic times, so it is not 100% wrong either. But this uniform in these colours are not historical.

They look great, I like the infantry in particular.

Thanks gang, I should have an update later today. I have painted 10 more infantry yesterday and I will take some pictures of the old models I already painted for the army, long time ago.

The priests summon all sorts of "Godly" entities to aid in battle or for advice, sometimes they are succesful too, hehehe

I really enjoy the force you've assembled, those priests and their Elder Thing friend are a great addition.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.
