I failed miserably with Orktober, but you have nailed it.

I am starting my own RT thing soon and am torn between slotta/no slotta.
Seeing yours, I am swaying towards going 'traditional'.

I always felt it was the way to go with Rogue Trader models. I don't like to cut them and I actually quite like bases too  ;D

My thoughts exactly.

It is just that all of the rest of my figures have gone on 'flat' bases as it just looks better to me.
My Mordheim stuff is all still on slottas, though.
I guess RT stuff on anything else would just be wrong, wouldn't it?

Why not just call it "Orktober" and do a month long Ork Painting blog.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.
