Just recieved some plastic terrain from Amera:

http://www.amera.co.uk/product.php?range=f

I bought some river sections and and the small thatched house as a test order as they are ridiculously cheap, and I'd heard good things. They all need flocked/painted etc, but for the price, its easier than cutting and filling and mucking about with plywood and foam.

The details on the house are a little shallow, but should still paint up ok.

The plastic is thin, but sturdy and reasonably flexible, so should stand a fair bit of punishment from gaming, storage and transport.

Nice fast service too. They'll be going on the "approved sellers" list. Think I'll get some of their hills, and maybe a waterfall at some point.  :)

Picked up this building in an xmas-clearout sale for 3-4 €. There were more in the appropriate scale, but I figured with all the work needed to remove the snow, wraiths, lighting,etc.. it wasn't worth it.

This one should be usable with minimal changes. I'm thinking middle eastern fantasy (hence the figure used for scale).

Suit Gondorian city fight too with a nice clean white finish.

Was in a store called GiFi, among the christmas scenery. I think they may be part of a larger chain. No manufacturer indicated AFAIK. :(

Found this French link for them, apparently they have 300 stores all over Europe.

D'oh!

http://www.gifi.fr

Still, catalog isn't up yet and you'll probably have to wait until next Xmas sale, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Aquarium stuff  :D

Will have to paint over those 'algae', though... too green for the Egyptian desert, methinks....

And Abu Simbel, those statues are the same colour (a very light sandy hue)  as the rock face they are sitting against, as they were carved out of it. Might want to bear that in mind if you're doing a repaint. Something that the aquarium people hadn't noticed.

Great find.
