They do look well scaled. If I'm not mistaken those figures in the shot are Seth Nash sculpts for TAG, at least they bear a striking resemblance to his sculpting style.

hahaha....hah...and only  six years after I left the company too, you sir are a comic genius, and not at all a pathetic wanker....oh no, not you, with a wit like that :D

happy new year :)

Hopefully, you've turned your hand to something else in the intervening years then.

Happy New Year to you too.

Actually Seth, I deliberately deleted that post. It was mean spirited and I thought better of it. Perhaps you have reconsidered your own rather nasty PM to me? I'll take it as a heat of the moment thing.

Never mind. I'm sorry if I have offended you. As I said in reponse to your earlier message, I have nothing against you personally. I just consider the TAG modern ranges you happened to sculpt to be pretty piss poor. I can understand you having a higher opinion of their worth than mine. I can most certainly understand why you are apparently so thin-skinned about my rather lame Lego man gag. If I was an artist I'd hate for someone to keep drawing attention to my teenage doodles. Anyway as you pointed it out you did those a long time ago, no doubt your sculpting has improved immeasurably.

Do have a happy New Year and best wishes in your endeavours.

considering your nasty PM response I doubt that I will reconsider...Critique is a wonderful thing and I dont believe that I respond negativly to someone being constructive. You on the otther hand pull my name out of the blue and throw and insult....that is different I believe.

Appology accepted, perhaps in the future you will reconsider being spiteful for the sake of trying to impress a forum.

Happy new year to you too, I'm glad that we can move on having learned this valuable lesson.

Well you could at least be honest whilst trying to paint yourself out as a martyr. You're right, lets move on.

28mm LAM and 15mm FoW figs for reference
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I have been a paragon oof moderation in purchasing Christmas presents to myself this year, but I did indulge myself with one thing:

Best image I could get hold of I am afraid. I found it in a  off-the-well-trodden-path where wee spent Christmas, one of these little ideosynchratic hobby shops which pop up now and then with a life expectancy of a glass hammer. It is a lovely little architectural kit from a Spanish company called Doums-kits. They make various buildings with scaled down real bricks, everything from English country houses to modern villas in various scales.

They are not cheap, mind, my set put me back about €50. The potential is great, especially if you have the hart too make a bombed out building.

Scales are a bit everywhere. This one is 1.50 which I expect to be fine with 28mm but there are other VERY attractive churches and roman constructs in  1:60 scale which I have my eyes on. One at a time though...

Have a look here:

I have just taken ownership of a 28mm scaled Hartenstein Hotel from an incredibly talented terrain scratchbuilding chum down here in deepest darkest Kent.  It is beautiful, it makes me smile and it has finally moved me to start my Tamiya 1/48 King Tiger so I can game the Osterbeek perimeter.  Hurrah.

Some trees from Ebay and a medieval chuch and european house from Magister Militum.

Little bit more clean up on the church than I'd hoped for, but still love it. :)

How is the size of those magister militum buildings?

They are both more on the 25mm scale rather than the 28mm, but I think it works ok. :)
Reasonably priced, aswell.

I can post a pic with a mini, if you want. :)

Also, I suppose people would have been a bit smaller in medieval times, so the scale might be fine. :)

Yes, but their buildings would still have been in scale with them.  ;)
