Nice !
the only thing I wouldn't find a use for is the starfish.

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about that one either. Too recognizable.

Painted stone-effect and used as some kind of starfish-centric fish cult altar? That's the best I could come up with.

This should go in the "Latest mini received" thread as well, as it contains miniatures too, but going by weight, the scenery bit outweighs it. It was a folly, but I can't really say I regret it: the Pixi LE metal and resin/ceramic 28mm Asterix village with all of the Gauls (including all the main characters and some anonymous villagers) and some animals and trees.

The Pixi figures are fully compatible with the Metal Magic range, the only (small) downside being that you have to strip them first as they come prepainted in enamels. The buildings can be repainted without the need for stripping first.

I will probably post some pictures over the weekend (the box is huge: 70cm x 65cm x 24xm !!), but here's what it looks like (remember this is all to 28mm scale):

Mine came from priceminister.fr, but sometimes they appear on ebay too (though usually they go for more money there). You should search for "Village Asterix Pixi" and be careful it is indeed the Pixi version and not the Atlas version as the latter is 15mm instead of 28mm and is often falsely listed as Pixi. To make sure, better compare to the pictures on pixifolies before committing: http://www.pixifolies.com/Collections/1813/uderzo-mini-village-asterix

There's another one on priceminister right now, but it's costly (though still cheaper than ebay prices):

Mine was a bit cheaper, but still slightly outside my comfort zone.

Well, you're welcome for a game if you travel the pond, but perhaps it's better to wait until I repainted them or at least until I painted some Romans to go up against them (have been slowly collecting Metal Magic and Pixi Romans, but you need lots of course). ;)

More important, do you have loose Roman helmets for Asterix and Obelix to collect?  :D

Interesting point, I might try moulding some using instant mould. :)

I do have these (part of the same range) to be used as casualty markers (they will look much better once the thick coat of paint is stripped and they are properly repainted):

Gallic whimsy at its finest. Nice find.
