Got the following from Old Crow:

  • Mausoleum - roof comes off!
8 Headstones - they have very fine inscriptions... one of them says Kurt Cobain, "The worst crime is faking it"
  • A High Cross (Celtic)
  • 4 'tomb slabs'
  • 2 Temple Dogs
  • 2 small Anubis statues

I picked up this great stone idol in a pet shop recently.  It hasn't been repainted, it's just as sold.

I'm going away to stay at a holiday house shortly, followed by a stay at my in-laws, and in connection with that I'll be restocking my supply of 5 mm foamboard (I'm totally out..) needed for 2 different projects:
  • My Streets of Mayhem/MicroTactix city
  • My upcoming Mean Streets pulp city project

Hopefully I'll be doing some work on the cemetery the last few days of my vacation...

I was looking at some pet shop stuff the other day as well.  They had some interesting pieces.  The problem is they sell for just as much as acquarium decoration as they do as table-top decoration.

Six sets of the Heroscape "Ticalla Jungle" module:

These are simply cracking.  And now, with a couple of set's worth of swamp terrain tiles from the "Swarm of the Marro" Heroscape master sets, I can put together an good-sized board for Belgian askaris and French tirailleurs to slog through en route to the Soudan!

Best price I found was $15.32 USD per set, in a bundle of three sets, from Wargamers Headquarters:

But I'd be surprised if you can do that well in Europe.  Some retailers are asking double that.  One New Zealand auction is up to $35 NZ for a single set, which seems excessive.

With the current exchange-rates, it's probably cheaper to order from the US, anyway (even with the added shipping cost..). Just have to bypass the customs  :?

Auction lots of the swamp tiles show up on eBay, but the last lot (two Marro sets' worth) I saw went for so much, one might as well just have bought the two Marro sets!   :o

I've just bought the entire sets on eBay, and am planning to hand over the figures to the kids.  I will probably order a couple more from Wargamers HQ, as they have good prices.
