They make a nice alternative to the sometimes-troublesome "Sulaco" bases...  ;)

I've been interested in Fenris bases for some time. I have a couple questions though. What color are the bases molded in? Will they chip often if the edges come in contact with other bases during play? How hollow are the underside of the bases?

I switched to using the 30mm bases to help protect my miniatures while using them in games. I love spending hours painting, but I hate repainting them after every game. If the bases chip easily I'm back to repainting. I also mount my minis on washers so I can transport them in boxes lined with magnet sheet, so I'm curious how the washers will mount on the underside of said bases.

Colour: Various resins, I've had grey, cream black and green from Ian, although that matters not a jot as you'll be undercoating and painting.

Chipping: You playing tiddly winks with your figures or something!?!??! ;) Not you shouldn't have a problem.

Magnetics: Speak to Ian (Geronimo), we spoke about this when I was last at his workshop and he mentioned that he can add metal power to the resin to allow the bases to be mounted in magnet storage, but that would be a special to order. Otherwise, use a routing disc and a slow speed on the dremmel and drop the washer/coin in there.

Bestthing to do is contact Ian directly at Fenris Games

For clipping the slotta tabs off tabbed figures and pin-mounting them, it can be awkward to position them between the squares of the mesh screen. The Ark bases appear to have a lot more flat surface area with mesh portions for accents.

ah, I see. I tend to position the mini so the pin fits into a grill 'slot' but, you're right, a lot less trouble with the fast surfaces on the 'Ark' bases. I'm just finishing a few Grymn and mounting them on the 'Ark' bases - photos to follow...

Now someone just needs to sculpt some Bobblehead Brink troopers and security to put on them!

I love this style of bases. Do you know if they are available in a "GW" style base?

Great paint job!

Or they could... ;) PM Geronimo and he'll be able to let you know direct from the workshop.
