Finished the first sloop and nearly done the second one, decided to work up in size, so the merchant ships are next.
Won't be permanently fixing the masts or bow sprits at this point as they have to negotiate a choppy passage to Crete.  Will do all that when they get there.
Have also managed to get another thirty or so pirates done.  Pictures soon.

Lots of new updates:

First off the latest batch of new pirates:

The first ship is a Minimi large sloop, called the Santa Maria.  I've yet to decide about the sails and masts.  I think I'll go for furled ones to make gaming easier and lessen the risk of battle damage!

The first of two new sloops, by Ainsty Castings, these were the original Dixon ships I really wanted to get.  Many thanks to Andy for the sterling service in adversity! The first one is called the Rosie Lou.

The second one is called the John Terry, England's only TRUE captain:

Nearly finished another 40 pirates and then its on to the merchant ships.
More on the blog.

Now let's see a completed Man of War!
(So I can figure out how to put mine together....)  :D
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...
