The 80s in 28mm?

I've noticed quite a buzz for games set in the 1960s and 70s for some time now. Especially those on background of certain TV series, which probably influenced the youth of most modern gamers. Personally I'm also a big 70s fan, though being slightly younger of age I grew up with other iconic images. So recently I was asking myself if there are any figure ranges, preferably in 28mm, that would fit the style of the 80s.

I know there's the odd A-Team incarnation. But I've not yet come across something like the "t-shirt under Armani jacket" look. Okay, since this is a mere crazy idea I didn't search that hard. Maybe some LAFers do know better? Thanks anyway.

matakishi, I remembered the look of those miniatures, but couldn't think of where I'd seen them. Thanks for the heads up.

I suppose it depends on which part of the 80's and where. You've got skinheads with guns (<82), Punks (<85), Rastafarians with guns, 'Blitz Kids' (<85), people in 'power' suits. There are a couple of 90's style skaters, but otherwise there's a heavy 80s look about them. The cops are straight out of the Police Academy films and iirc there is a John McClean figure in there too. Fair enough, there isn't a Crockett and Tubbs I don't think.

Mongrel/Newline and Mo-Fo/Gripping Beast for 1980s soldiers.

Gary Mitchell's Space Vixens from Mars range includes some figures for time-travel scenarios, one of which is (I think) set in the 1980s: he's got a not-Mrs-Thatcher and a not-Queen-Elizabeth II, at least.

Some of the Copplestone "Future Skirmish" (from em-4) or "Future Wars" (from his own company) have quite an 80s look to them, shoulder pads and all.

There's a ditinct Lack of Psychobillies, Goths & Scooter boys (most skinheads with a bit more hair would do for these though) for the 80's too. Also the old grenadier future wars range (as Steve has said  ) also look at some of the offensive miniatures rioters.
