It Came From Beyond the Still - Possible Expansion
« on: 16 December 2011, 07:41:41 PM »
I hope everyone's been enjoying their It Came From Beyond the Still game. We are considering doing an expansion featuring zombies and other zanyness. How do you like the current rules?

I like them, however it would be nice to be able to pick and choose your weapons, or even build a character.

I realize this may take away from the spirit of the game and unnecessarily complicate it, but it's just a from the hip thought.
Zombies you can outrun - the mistakes of your fellow Heroes you cannot.

Hi Cultist3. Your advice is very  good. So you think that a weapons locker type expansion would be good?

A weapons locker, I like that, mostly to fit models with what they are molded with, (WYSIWYG)

And maybe a couple of "special" weapons, A moonshine molotov, of even a moonshine flame thrower (Very dangerous, to both the user and the enemy)  :D

I think the problem I have is the scenarios are driven by specific character types, (grays, blobs, cephalopods) which all have different weapon choices and "hit me" numbers. The lack of a point system makes it easy to put a game together, however it kind of hamstrings you as to what models you have available.

Haven't had the chance to play, yet, but expansions are always good  ;)

I'm currently too busy looking for a new job to get stuff painted and ready for the table, but if (when) i hit unemployment 1st of February, I'll probably start digging into the Lead&Plastic Alps... You simply can't surf the job-sites all day.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
