WIP Pulp City Board
« on: December 17, 2011, 11:59:48 PM »
Thought I would post up the current state of my City.
There is alot more to add though. Im working on roads, a canal and lots of rank 1 and 2 objects at the moment.
The fountain and staue plinth need finishing aswell. But the top for one of them arrived today.

Here is it then. Pulp City's Southwest corner
What do you think?

I like the Sarissa Buildings, I left them unpainted except for the roof and pavement.

I did think about painting them but I like the way they look aswell.
Painting the pavements is a good idea though.

Do you have any pics of yours?

Beautiful city so far.  Threads like this make it hard to resist Sarissa.
This is my boomstick!

Great work Hendybadger, I think you've convinced me to pick some up.

I'd love to see some painted examples.  I would think the details would show through with a light wash?

Cheers.
Here is my latest edition.
Fat Dragons Capital City roads.

Made a total of 64 7.5" x 7.5" tiles for 100s, if not 1000s, of different combinations.

I have been painting a test piece of the Sarissa walls. A flat grey primer works wells and leaves the detail black. Trying paint tomorrow.

I quite llike the tan sandstone look of the buildings though. But I am tempted at the idea of painting just the pavements and roofs

Two questions Hendy

1. What shade andbrand of primer did you use?

2. What did you mount those road tiles on?

Its a Hycote Double Acrylic grey car primer.

And the tiles are mounted on backing board that I picked up from an art shop. Usualy used for portfolios and such
