That's really excellent - I am inspired to do something similar for my Aliens project.   8)

Beautiful work - I'd definitely buy one.

It occurs to me that, short of actually carrying it in-hand, there's really no graceful way to pack a baseball bat. Stick it in the ruck-sack and it protrudes out a foot above your head and clocks you when you shift your pack. Slip it under the shoulder straps and it's like marching under a slave-yoke. Stick it in your belt like a demented broadsword and it will trip you and then slip out when you try to get up...

This also goes for a cricket-bat, and goes double for a hockey stick...
