Does anyone make an Unarmed man in a Turban?
« on: 28 December 2011, 08:14:46 PM »
I have the Artizan figure, but seems too cartoony for what I want - may use as a last resort.  Want an Imam/Sufi character.

Links to any suggestions appreciated.   :)

For an iman type figure you would need to avoid Sikh turbans (which is a pity, beacuse I can think of a great figure that would otherwise be perfect).  However, Bicorne nmaufacture the old Connosieur range of Sudan colonials, which includes a couple of potentially useful poses in their Sudan Arabs of Market and Sudan Stallholders packs:

What about the 2nd fig on the left minus the Sword?
Artizan, Dark Ages, Moors, Foot Command

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I think the 2nd figure from the right would make a great Imam. That one's basically doing the call to prayer. Or is that what you meant already?

Link to the great figure?

No need to avoid anything.  This is Pulp, not real history.

Apart from Bullshott's "mystery" figure...

The Sikh with "removable" dagger is a real possibility.  Unfortunately, don't really want the rest of the pack...

And the figure with arms folded another strong contender.  I find Perry stuff usually "slight" compared with suitable Pulp stuff though.

Not mentioned, but maybe useful; GW's Dogs of War Paymaster?

I have the perfect figure. Unfortunately it is out of production. I have one of the old Archive Figures Mad Mullahs Based on Khumani. I use him with my Afgan tribes men.

He is small, and the crusades range is even smaller than most other Perry ranges. It's a fantastic figure, however, and I find his size almost works for him, in an 'angry old man' sort of way.

you can see the size difference with other Perry stuff here.
I told you so. You damned fools.
