Iron Sky - Nazis in space!

Inspiring stuff for the WWWII enthusiast.

Be forewarned - Nazi imagery (Swastikas etc.) in this movie.

Looks great!  Can't wait to see it.

Although, I am not sure anyone would buy the whole, "We come in peace!" routine from a bunch of Ratzi bastiches, but hey maybe someone would.

It does look like great fodder for those of us who like WWWII.

Ooh...yeah didn't consider that.  I'll flag it to the mods for consideration.

Apologies if offence is caused everyone...it just looked rather inspiring for WWWII fans.

EDIT:  Right, i tried to report to moderator, and was met with 'you can't report your own threads, that doesn't make sense!'

Would someone care to do the honours and report this thread for consideration please?

I have reported it for you but not watched the film (I'm at work so don't want to shock!)

Hi all, thanks for the notifications - I'll leave it up for the time being, as, being a SciFi/Comedy and not a Nazi supremacist propaganda flick (as far as we know), it should reasonably be allowed to claim the "freedom of the arts" exception clause (such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade did).

Have to say I'm with Dr. Falkenhayn on this one - if this ever actually is made into a movie, it'll probably take another decade, like with Sky Captain. I won't hold my proverbial breath, but will keep my proverbial fingers crossed.

Laibach! Worth it for that alone.  8)

Esp. as the music on the first trailer is pretty grim...

The film has actually gone through post production and I see they have now put a release date on the trailer, if you go to the website they are taking advance orders for the DVD, don't look at the price though :o

Well, it's not for just a BluRay, it's for a limited edition collectors box set. As to if such can be worth 300 € I really can't say. I suppose some might like to think it is. As for me, I'll wait for a regular edition...

As for the vapourware comments, I suppose we'll see on 4th of April. This year.

I would just like to point out that the 300 euro one comes with a tad more than just a BluRay disc and a special box.

Ticket to the Premiere of Iron Sky

Also the film will be playing at the Berlin Film Festival on the 11th of February so nae chance of "vapourware."

To be honest I am sorely torn between taking a day trip to berlin, or buying a large pile of the various merch they have.

Been waiting a long time for this film, since before filming started, I hope a cinema somewhere in Scotland picks up though to see it on a really big screen would no doubt require a trip to Finland or Germany.

Pretty cool!

Didnt really get why they are going the comedy route with this (I mean the idea's ridiculous but awesome)

Sounds like a good setting for Call of Duty Black Ops esque adventures (which I plan on doing at some point using spyfi rules like 7tv)
