Battleground Weird War II Battle Report
« on: December 23, 2007, 08:07:39 AM »
Here a few pics of a game I played last night by myself.  Lasted about an hour with set up.  My zombie rules allow for them to move on their own so you don't need an opponent so all those lonely gamers on the tundra and the ash wastes can actually Weird War II wargame by yourself.  For the full report check out the link below.

Good report. A decent little scenario too, everyone has a reason to be there  :)

I am confused by my inability to identify the miniatures though; apart from a couple of GW zombies I don't know where any of them, including the vehicles, come from.
I particularly like the two Germans shooting from the truck as they look like they're screaming. Details please!!

(Oh, and I see you're a Garth Marenghi fan    )

Who isn't a Garth fan!

Well all the Germans come from James Bland's (Victory Force Miniatures) old Battleground WWII stuff.

Some of the zombies are GW, Heroscape and from Horrorclix.

The Panther is a old 1/48 model from Bandai and the Opel Truck is a 1/50 toy from Sun Star.

You can get the tankers from here,
http://www.neo-forge.com/

and if you want to look at James' new stuff here,
http://victoryforce.com/

Sun Star isn't around anymore but you can get there stuff on e-bay along with everything else you could imagine.  Tamiya makes some great 1/48 stuff including the Panther.

Merry Christmas,
Brian

Aha!
I had some Victory Force miniatures, I can recognise the style similarities now you mention it, I knew there was something familiar about them.
Thanks for the info  :)
