the take down a battleground gangland battle report
« on: February 11, 2009, 01:37:50 PM »
heres a game we play down at the local game store(ninja pirate)using the battleground rule with john cunningham's battleground wild wild west rules. The setting was a farm in west texas where gangsters and moonshiners are going to have  a meeting, when acting on a tip federal agent and texas rangers show up.I played the law 5 feds and 10 texas rangers with two cars.charles played the 7 gangsters and 8 moon shiners with two cars.

the feds show up

and the shooting begins

The bad guys try to make a get away

the gangsters ram the police car but the texas rangers jump out with pistols blazing wounding the driver
the boss gets away but he is heavly wounded and the texas ranger fill the truck for of led killing everyone

well the game rap up with one texas ranger badly hurt and one fed ran away,5 moonshiners in custody the boss and two hench men got away, the gangster boss got away heavly wounded and his lt got away clean the 5 gangsters and the truck was full of holes.

I hope enjoy this short and sweet report
john

How did the BG wild wild west rules play, btw?? Inquiring minds want to know!!! They should provide a more cinematic flair, curious what you liked/didn't like about them.
Play the game, not the players!

it plays real well,we had 15 per side and the game lasted for 2 hours with two heavy wounds 5 kias and 5 light wounds this comes from using mostly pistols, and rifles.all of the bg rules work well, the wild wild west rule and a wilder initive system with five cards being delt to each player one for each group forming a porker hand.well there wasnt much I didnt like.it was so fun we did another one that I well post it soon. And we are thinking of doing canpaign games. With the coco cola trucks I just havnt got the heart to repaint them but i need to.
