Cake to oil in two hours.
« on: 27 January 2012, 06:09:17 PM »
Found an unused cake tin in our pantry so decided to put it to good use as part of a 28mm refinery I'm putting together.

From this:

To this:

It needs a dash of weathering but all in all the conversion took less than two hours. Tadaaaaaaa!

Don't!

I can't imagine Mrs Cheeks will be too pleased you stole the cake tin, and what happened to the contents?  I suppose you ate the cake..... ::)

Great job, can't wait to see the weathering and the finished result. :)

EDIT. Colin beat me to it! lol

Thanks chaps.

No she doesn't know so don't tell her!

I was indeed looking for cake when I found the tin, the travesty is there was bugger all in it....... just few crumbs  :'(.

I've got my eye on the tea caddy at the mo, considering the missus is a tea addict I might not get away with that one.

You are well on the way to starting a homeware rush in Poundland (other discount stores are available) with wargamers fighting to buy various sized tins decorated in God awful patterns that John Lewis (other proper retailers are available) would never dream of stocking.

Anyone with a sense of humour would put fruit in a tin with that written on the front.

I believe that this is what is meant by the expression 'having your cake and eating it too'.

Nice work.
