I'm starting on Scheltrum's French WWI White Armored Car. It has a cylindrical turret with two beveled sides, like the one on a Rolls Royce or Lanchester AC. But I've found photo reference online that maybe the turret was a regular cylinder without bevels.
Can anyone provide info re: accuracy of this turret for 1918 time period?
Was the beveled turret a French design and the regular cylinder U.S.?
Did the beveled turret perhaps come after WWI as a retrofit (when?), even as late as WWII?
Thanks
