Pet Store Aquarium Terrain and Scenery
« on: 12 February 2012, 02:11:57 PM »
I wanted to post a few pictures of some nifty pieces I picked up on sale at the local pet stores over the last few years.  Most pieces are ruins of one kind or another, and my original intent was to use them for Stargate games.  Recently I have deceided to use them for Fallout, where appropriate.  See what you think.

(edit)  I am pretty found of the bridge as ruined highways seem to be tough to come by and it serves a simialr purpose.  Not as good, but close enough for me.

I've used the Big Head (The last pic you have) in a dark future game, painting it like rusted metal and adding rivets.  But I haven't been in a pet store lately.  Some of those other things look great!

I have some of the same pieces.  Here's the tall monolith painted and based for jungle games:

I've found ruins/collapsed wall pieces on clearance at Petco for $1-2 at times.  Never hurts to take a look.
