Zulu & British size comparisons??
« on: 13 February 2012, 04:12:41 PM »
I am looking to do some Zulu War stuff and not sure which manufacturers fit with which other ones. Does anyone have any size comparison shots? I woul be looking into Warlord, Empress, Old Glory and maybe Wargames Factory.
Any other companies I should be looking at?
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

There are already some threads on here that do size compairisons of zulus. just go to the Colonial Adventures boards & scroll through.

Warlord and Empress are offering the same range I think.
Empress has really great miniatures. I would recommend them !

I have a bunch of Empress minis and they are very nice.

If only they would do a couple packs of advancing Brits....  ;)

Empress for me. The old foundry range is good if you can find some. Black tree are good for the stuff Empress dont yet do. Swazi and Pedi spring to mind.

Ive always been a fan of Perry Miniatures Brits, I don't own any but my main opponent has an awful lot of them. Lovely things.

Just saw that Black Tree have got a 35% off sale on their Zulu war range. Worth it if yoy go down that route.

Black Tree Design - the 'unsung' heroes of Zulu War......

A good range of Zulus and British (maybe dodgey British pith helmets - but paint up really well) and their Zulus look like Zulus - no 'black bodybuilders'

Sadly little in the line of Volunteer cavalry, a few Boers but thats about it.

Foundry's recent Zulus, based on Copplestone's Darkest Africa dollies. Very good. Best Zulus out there in my humble op. Empress for the Brits though.
