The raising of the standard
« on: 13 February 2012, 06:36:53 PM »
After seeing this set on the strelets site I decided to raise a new legion, Aduitrix II

The senate discusses the Emporers idea to raise a new legion....

...and after many hours of discussion it is agreed upon....Hail Caeser!!!!!

"Come to join the legion? Yes? Go along the path and go to the left. next! The legion? yes? go along the..."

A "how to" for the Vexillum here
I knew the truck didn´t want to hit me...it had dodge written on the front

This is a very nice setting and scene, Paul, looks damn good. Scratchbuilt? Any chance to see shots of the entire building?

Always good to see 1/72 and a blast from the past too - what with a few old Atlantic figures in that mix - lovely stuff. I really must get round to painting up some Romans at some point and "raise a new legion". Hail Ceasar a thousand years and still we are yearning for his return.

Thanks  :)
It is scratch built...an oldie from about 6 years ago. I even did up the inside but like an idiot I glued the roof on without thinking   ;D
I´ll get a couple of whole building pics done and put them up.

Thanks  :)
The Atlantic figs, I have recently found out, the romans at least, pretty collectable. Not the most historically accurate things but they are fun  :)
I´d love to have the space to get a couple of hundred 28mm ones done (space and the money)

The entire building (used to keep any spare standards)

It used to be part of a Roman town which has mostly now been recycled to make modern,  colonial or medieval buildings.

Just like in real-life!  lol

Great set-up here, btw.  :)
