Painting a dung heap

I have the Architects of War dung heap. Any suggestions on how to paint this model?

I'd suggest painting it with "natural" colors if you know what I mean *snicker*

One of the fellows on the Gidian Terrain boards made a perfectly disgusting dungheap - many images on this page.

I can't read German, but I can definitely read "IT STINKS!"

Might give you some terrible ideas.
