Hi Folks my London waterfront project is well underway (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=35855.0) and I've started getting the residents ready.

First up is the local constabulary. These are from Foundrey and they look great. I'm very happy with them.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I don't like the base figures, but that's nice painting, and great integration with the bases.

One detail - when on duty, British Police of the late 19th/early 20th century wore a black-and-white vertically striped armband above the left wrist.  Most manufacturers miss them off (except for West Wind, which equally erroneously has them on both sleeves), but they are easy enough to paint on.
Back from the dead, almost.

The only ones with their left wrist showing are the sergeants.

I like them. I fear the helmets are bit too small and pimple like, but i love the character you've got into the figures. Well done  :)

Here are some new folk to populate the waterfront... A group of lovely working ladies.
Perfect for a Ripper scenario but for my project they'll be hanging aroung the docks.
This little group come from Foundry and I like them.

Those are great. Are they from one of the much-maligned recent Foundry releases, only i don't recognise them?

***snippage***

Of course, I would find them quite serviceable, but I suspect the feeling is a wasting of painting talent on them. I concur, of course.

As for the ladies, I always enjoy a NSFW moment provided by this forum.  lol

I'm not sure if they are recent or much maligned but they are Foundry. They are a bit rough around the edges but overall they come up okay.
