Excellent shot with a diorama feel to it. Is the bloke a blacksmith or a slaughterman? Is the girl washing her face in the trough or crying for her doomed pig? I need to know the answers

My thoughts exactly!

Such a close one to call.
Two exceptional entries, probably the best of the round (IMO).

Although I love the Prof's style and set up, I had to go for the DF chaps.
Deciding factor between the two paintjobs could only be settled by the scale.
In this case seeing 20mm that look better than most 28's swung it for me.

He's a blacksmith, Chris. And the girl is just looking for her lost toy, not washing her face or drinking in the pig's trough

Well done both of you, Actually love both entries and while the prof's setup and paintjob are terriffic, I just love how the Dark Future boys/galls turned out a bit more.

Thanks Alex, I think it's mainly the well loved GW "antiques" that won the votes. The paintwork's pretty much on par
